"People should try to think outside of the box, but in this case, thinking within the box creatively is what helped create the solution."

Remodeling, Saint Paul, Minnesota. The strategy for this remodeling was to combine a dining room, corridor, and poorly planned kitchen/family room into a gracious, yet casual light filled setting for a family with two small children. The new L-shaped space is unified by the traditional painted millwork, ceiling beams and cabinetry. A 30' long window seat starts at the dining area at one end, becoming family room seating and toy storage at the other end.
- The project transforms an outmoded plan into a generous family space without adding any additional square footage.
- Combination of several compartmental rooms into one light filled family living cooking space.
- Deep window wall allows for bookshelves, glass storage, and kitchen cabinets to be recessed into the wall.
- Hidden access to powder room through custom tongue and groove paneling.
