Addition, Orono, Minnesota. This generous, light-filled master suite addition was designed to resemble a carriage house. It features a curving roof connecting suites of rooms along a single axis. The architecture and interior finishes elegantly display the owner's interest in both French and 18th century Swedish architecture. The master bedroom opens onto the terrace which overlooks a lake, and connects to the existing home by an elevator vestibule.
- High circular windows in bedroom have motorized, hidden blackout shades.
- Elevator connects main floor with three levels below.
- Unique curved hip roof form developed in response to zoning constraint.
