Needing to replace an old, run-down barn, the owner wanted a conditioned workspace for his classic car restoration hobby as well as storage for various large vehicles and equipment. Working with traditional Midwest barn forms, Albertsson Hansen sited the structure to create a new entry sequence into the property. A covered, outdoor space provides views to the adjacent fields and wetlands.

Of Note
In-floor heat provides year-round use at a low cost. Cupolas allow for stack ventilation. High windows let natural light permeate deep into the barn.
